3/10/11 - New Championship Golf Course Set to Boost Local Employment
Centurion Club, located on the outskirts of St Albans, is a new members' golf club, set to open for business in 2013. Once open, the club will be employing a significant number of local people to work within various departments of the business.
The first opportunities will be available through a sales office and temporary clubhouse set to open in 2012 on the premises, catering for the initial membership promotion.
As well as providing the area with a top-quality championship golf course, the venue is sure to provide a much needed boost to local unemployment rates in what continues to be a turbulent economic period.
Centurion Club Managing Director, Scott Evans, said:
"We're looking to build an enthusiastic, hard-working team here at Centurion Club, and the majority of the candidates will certainly come from the St. Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Harpenden area.
"We anticipate that there will be up to 100 jobs available. We're very keen to recruit locally and establish the Club within the local community."
This eagerly anticipated development will be open for play in 2013, with recruitment commencing from spring 2012 onwards.
